ALM’s Impact Conference

/IMPACT/ (1) a powerful or major influence or effect. (2) the force of impression of one thing on another: a significant or major effect

Plans are set in motion for ALM’s IMPACT conference, suitably named, to deliver a powerful influence and a lasting impression on the textile care services industry. A perfect blend of distinguished keynotes, targeted breakout sessions, and plenty of time for professionals in the industry to connect provides ultimate rewards to those who attend.

Eavesdrop on three industry leaders during the opening general session while they deliberate on changes that might occur in the industry. Ed McCauley, of United Hospital Services, representing ARTA, Rocco Romeo of Ottawa Regional Hospital Linen Services representing IAHTM and Mike Dineen, of Milner, representing the equipment industry bring a broad perspective on topics such as textile mills returning to the US, industry regulation, shrinking labor forces, superbugs and more.

On Tuesday, Dr. Lynne Sehulster, the CDC’s authority on infection prevention in textile care services will present her evidence based research. Hear first-hand about her research and recommendations and be versed and able to communicate it to your customers, your administration and your team.

Make the most of your time away by multitasking during the Lunch and Learn. While you are dining on a four course meal, a few allied trade partners will share product education. These mini-sessions will cover topics such as production monitoring, linen tracking, alternative disinfectants, best practices on flatwork ironer operations, dryer efficiency, disinfection and soiled linen collection. Enjoy a no-pressure taste of what these partners offer while having your taste buds dazzled.

Wrap up your conference experience with a special treat, Joe Castillo, finalist from America’s Got Talent delivers the educational finale, “Get More Paint Out of the Tube”. This emotion charged and awe inspiring session will set the stage for you to revitalize your team and accomplish more than you ever dreamed.

Did we say wrap up? Not so fast. We haven’t even started with the fun. Escape the winter doldrum with an outside Welcome Reception. Enjoy the beauty and serene surroundings and share hugs, smiles and warmth with new and old industry friends.

After two days of education and business, it’s time to kick up your heels at the Wild Wild West party sponsored by MIP. There will be cowboy games, western cuisine and cozy fires waiting for you at Rawhide Western Town.

The closing banquet will be like no other ALM event. It’s time to celebrate another year of great times in the industry. Dueling pianos will be up on stage vying for your attention. So be ready to sing-a-long and enjoy the great company you have found in this industry.
