AmeriPride Services Sponsors 3rd Annual ‘Day of Service’

MINNEAPOLIS – AmeriPride Services announced that its 47 branches and other locations across the U.S. and Canada will participate in the 3rd annual ‘Day of Service’ community giving program in which employees are given the opportunity to spend all or part of their work day volunteering, donating goods and services, or participating in community events.

“I am very pleased with the enthusiastic participation of our employees across the organization and the continued success of this program,” said Bill Evans, president and CEO of AmeriPride Services. “We have been growing this event over the past few years and have seen the positive impact it has on our employee engagement and the communities we serve. I look forward to hearing all the great stories of our branches getting out there and making a difference again.”

In the past two years, more than 1,800 employees across the U.S. and Canada contributed more than 10,000 hours of volunteer work and made more than $1,250,000 in monetary and product donations. Examples of initiatives that AmeriPride employees donated their time to in the past two years include preparing meals at a local soup kitchen, helping out at local food banks, donating school supplies and working for Habitat for Humanity.

In addition to Day of Service volunteer activities, goods and services are often provided to local charities and organizations in communities near AmeriPride branches and many branches have pet projects that they organize every year. In addition, the corporate headquarters raised more than $150,000 for the Twin Cities United Way last year. More information on AmeriPride’s commitment the community can be found in its annual Corporate Responsibility Report.
