Celebrating 40 years since its inception, the Clean Show, held June 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, had an impressive showing at its 2017 event in both attendance and exhibit floor space.
Official attendance for the recent show was 12,563 – up from 11,264 registration at Clean 2015, and the show’s exhibit floor was sold out at 227,006 net sq ft.– up from 197,400.
This year, Clean had the largest square footage since the 2007 30th anniversary show in Las Vegas.
Almost all of the 22 educational sessions over more than 25 hours were filled to capacity. Sessions, sponsored by industry associations, were presented by experts in all facets of the textile care industry. Education sessions, which outside the show generally require fees, are included in the show’s registration fee offering a substantial saving to attendees.
Living up to its official name, World Educational Congress for Laundering and Drycleaning, attendees came from around the world. International attendees numbered 2,271 representing 96 countries outside the US.
Clean 2019 is scheduled for New Orleans June 20-23, 2019. The show will return to Atlanta in 2021.
The biennial Clean Show is the world’s largest exhibition of textile care products featuring working equipment. It is sponsored by five national industry associations: Association for Linen Management, Coin Laundry Association, Drycleaning & Laundry Institute, Textile Care Allied Trades Association and Textile Rental Services Association of America.
