Messe Frankfurt has finalized a deal with the Clean Show Executive Committee to purchase the biennial Clean Show.
Messe Frankfurt will organize the Clean Show in cooperation with five former sponsors, the Association for Linen Management (ALM), the Association for Linen Uniform and Facility Services (TRSA), Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA), Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) and Coin Laundry Association (CLA).
“Based on its success organizing international events for the textile-care sector, Messe Frankfurt has the expertise and experience, as well as relationships with key exhibiting partners, to ensure the continued growth and development of the Clean Show,” says Joseph Ricci, Clean 2019 Chairman of the Clean Executive Committee and President of TRSA.
The Clean Show, was named one of Trade Show Executive’s 50-Fastest growing shows of 2017 in three major categories – net square feet of exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies and total attendance. The 2017 show held in Las Vegas attracted over 11,000 trade visitors and 481 exhibitors.
The purchase of the Clean Show will elevate the portfolio of trade fairs organized by Messe Frankfurt for the laundry, textile service and dry cleaning businesses. Texcare International has been held in Frankfurt am Main since 1956. Over recent years, the network has been expanded to include trade shows in China and the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to Texcare International, Messe Frankfurt has been holding Texcare Asia since 1998. The Gulf Laundrex presented by Texcare is held annually in Dubai. These events are rounded off by numerous Texcare Forums, which bring local buyers together with international manufacturers.
Discussing the strategic expansion, Dennis Smith, Managing Director Messe Frankfurt North America, says, “With the Clean Show, we have purchased America’s biggest trade fair for textile care and gained another module for our worldwide network of events for the textile-care sector. We now hold trade fairs in all major economic regions and offer synergistic effects for both exhibitors and visitors.”
The 2019 Clean Show, scheduled for June 20-23, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana, will be managed by Riddle and Associates, on behalf of Messe Frankfurt.
“It has been a highlight of my life to have had the privilege to be a part of Clean since 1982,” says John Riddle, CEO Riddle & Associates. “To be involved in a show of this caliber was an honor. Hopefully we added some strength and power to the show while reaching our goal of providing the industry a venue to grow its business.”
