VERNON, Calif. — AmeriPride and Motiv Power Systems recently introduced the first all-electric delivery truck in AmeriPride’s fleet.
Built on a Ford F59 Chassis, this walk-in step van is the first Motiv-powered vehicle to utilize a previously used body. It is one of ten vehicles that AmeriPride has ordered from Motiv as a part of its continuing mission to be a leader in corporate and environmental sustainability.
The Vernon facility was chosen for this project because of route density and infrastructure, financial incentives and the region’s poor air quality. When this order is fulfilled, 20 percent of AmeriPride’s Vernon fleet will be all-electric zero-emission trucks.
