G.A. Braun, Inc. announced a new addition to their International Sales Team.
“I am pleased to announce that Mr. David Kidney has joined G. A. Braun as Commercial Director for Braun’s Asia-Pacific region” says James Dee, Braun’s director, Asia-Pacific.
Kidney has a lifetime of experience in the hospitality industry; beginning as a professionally trained chef, he soon became projects director for a large kitchen equipment supplier, then managing director of a food service laundry design practice located in Bangkok. Most recently he was vice president of a Singapore-based kitchen equipment company.
Kidney has lived and worked in S. E. Asia for the past 25 years. In addition to his native English, he has a working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesian, Malay, and Tagalog.
With his diverse experience and background, he has an enviable breadth and depth of knowledge and contacts in the hotel industry in Asia and has gained an impressive understanding of laundry equipment and of the hotel laundry environment.
Kidney will be based in-region for Braun. His appointment is the next step in the evolution of Braun’s direct presence in the Asia-Pacific Region. Initially focusing on S.E. Asia, his work will allow Braun to develop a higher profile in-region and to support our partners more comprehensively, flexibly and more quickly.
“David has been an industry friend for a number of years, and we are very pleased that he has joined our TEAM. He brings a wealth of knowledge (technically and professionally) and is a consummate professional well versed in the markets he will have responsibility for. This addition is one more step along our strategic path to growing our presence in the international markets that we supply. We are confident that David will play a big role in our ability to advance strategic service and commercial initiatives within the region, “ said Braun President Joe Gudenburr.
