Mission Linen Supply Stands Against Breast Cancer

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mission Linen Supply, a provider of linens, uniforms, laundry services and supplies, donated nearly $5,000 to breast cancer organizations and participated in local efforts to build awareness.

To raise funds, Mission sold a variety of pink apparel — including shirts, sweatshirts, scrubs and beyond — that customers could customize with pink ribbon graphics. The company contributed a portion of the proceeds from each sale to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, for a total donation of $4,000.

In addition to these company-wide efforts, individual Mission facilities made their own contributions to the cause. For example, Mission’s Santa Barbara location donated 60 pink sweatshirts to teachers at the local Mountain View Elementary to help raise awareness and show support for a school team member fighting breast cancer. Additionally, the company’s Sacramento facility raised $790 for the American Cancer Society by participating in the local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Run/Walk.

Mission participates in Breast Cancer Awareness month every October, and its support for the cause continues to grow each year. This year, Mission saw the highest level of participation yet among both employees and customers, and the company more than doubled the amount it raised in 2017.

“For all of us at Mission, it is an honor to be able to once again offer our support to those affected by breast cancer,” said Mission President and CEO John Ross. “In the coming years, we plan to continue expanding our efforts to raise funds and awareness for this very worthy cause.”
