Greer, SC — Universal Unilink – a group purchasing organization for apparel and promotional products distributors as well as uniform and textile rental companies – announced its annual college scholarship awards presented to Universal Unilink Members’ employees and their children and grandchildren who demonstrate outstanding scholastic achievement and exemplary community service.
The scholarship, endowed by Universal Founder Allan Fowler and wife Gayle, is called the Karl Fowler Scholarship Fund, named for their son, whose thirst for knowledge and learning is an inspiration to the entire Universal Unilink team. Karl never forgets a name and is considered a walking dictionary on everything from government to pop culture.
Students selected for this year’s honor each received $1000 to assist in educational expenses such as books, meals and other college related expenses. The 2018 recipients are:
