Dan Farnsworth, vice president, sales and marketing, Leonard Automatics Inc., Denver, NC, was recently elected to the TRSA Board of Directors for a three-year term, according to a news release.
TRSA, the association for linen, uniform, and facility services, officially welcomed Farnsworth during the Oct. 22 business meeting at its 107th Annual Conference in Alexandria, VA. As a member of the Board of Directors, Farnsworth will serve on the Executive Committee of the Supplier Council.
Farnsworth joined Leonard Automatics in 1996 and advanced to his current position in 2005. The 50-year old company manufactures machinery for the laundry (uniform and linen) and garment manufacturing industries. Farnsworth attributes skills he developed in the U.S. Navy for serving him well in his roles with Leonard Automatics.
Farnsworth is active in TRSA through service on various committees and task forces and is a contributor to various professional development institutes and summits. Current activities and interests include memberships in the Renaissance Executive Forum in Charlotte and North Carolina Baptists on Mission disaster relief ministry. He is pastor at Southside Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC, has coached baseball for over 25 years and has a passion for trout fishing. He and his wife Karen have two grown children.
