Metro Laundry Service proudly announced the company was awarded the distinguished Governor’s Citation Award by the Maryland Governor’s Office of Small Minority & Women Business Affairs, in a news release. This marks the first time Metro has received this significant honor, which recognizes the company and its leadership for their outstanding contributions to the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) small business community in Maryland.
The award was officially presented during a ceremony held on June 10, 2025, at the MGM National Harbor, a longtime client of Metro. Steven Young, COO of Metro Laundry Service, was present to accept the award on behalf of the company. The event, hosted by the Maryland Governor’s Office of Small Minority & Women Business Affairs, underscores the state’s dedication to recognizing businesses that significantly enhance its economic landscape.
“We are incredibly honored to receive the Governor’s Citation Award,” said Young. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our entire team and our long-standing commitment to strengthening the small and minority-owned business community in Maryland through job creation and collaboration. We are proud to contribute to the economic vitality of our state.”
