Tingue, Brown Promotes Acton

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — Global laundry product supplier Tingue, Brown & Co. has named Ty Acton vice president sales of its laundry divisions worldwide. Promoted to the new position after driving nearly ten consecutive years of sharp growth in sales and in share of market as national sales manager for the family-owned company, Acton will spearhead the organization’s global sales efforts for both Tingue, Brown & Co. and its Talley Machinery laundry parts and equipment division. Acton earned the promotion for his overall performance and leadership in developing a team of knowledgeable, hard-working salespeople who understand the importance of integrity, expertise and personal service, according to David Tingue, fourth-generation CEO of the company founded in 1902.

“Ty raised the bar for what is considered excellence and his role is expanding accordingly with the results he’s driven,” says Tingue. “He’s established a supportive culture that drives everyone to excel individually but also to work together as a team and that approach has been inspirational throughout the organization.” Acton’s promotion brings the sales team into alignment with the company’s overall, global business strategy. Integrating sales and customer service operations, the position creates structural efficiencies aimed at delivering on the commitment to provide high quality products with superior, expert personal service on a worldwide scale.

“We’re big believers in building long-term, personal relationships with our customers and that means offering access to a well-trained team of representatives,” says Acton, at a time when many companies have cut back on or eliminated outside representation. “Coaching this team of professionals and seeing them grow and succeed is incredibly gratifying and I’m eager to support our team in the effort to continue this pace of growth on a global playing field.”
