The Braun Difference:
Torsion Bar
* Braun’s torsion bar suspension distributes pressure evenly along each roll, eliminating the need for daily adjustments to maintain correct contact
* Every Braun ironer includes a torsion bar on each ironing roll
Without a torsion bar it is difficult to maintain proper roll down across the width of the ironer; there is no assurance the ironer can provide consistent uniform drying and the flatwork’s smooth travel without making daily adjustments.
Chest
Floating Chest
* Braun’s floating chest, along with the torsion bar, self-center during operation to the ironing roll, optimizing the contact area under pressure
A non-floating chest does not self-center and adjust for variations; the ironer roll tends to ride up out of the chest, loses contact under pressure and shortens the life of the pads.
Rigid Wall Chest
* Braun’s rigid wall chest is a thick wall polished steel chest. If a piece of metal should go through the ironer and gouge the chest, it can be repaired.
If his same damage situation should occur in a thin walled chest ironer, the chest must be replaced! This is important to consider as you evaluate the best use of your capital.
Drive
* Poly-chain drives ensures high reliability, low maintenance, and low cost of ownership
* All rolls run at equal speed (direct controllable speed)
Progressive speed differential: speed synchronization is difficult, stretching and distorting goods while leaving ironer tape and ribbon markings, causing excess slippage.
