Girbau celebrated its 105th anniversary with a very special event at its headquarters in Vic, Spain. More than a century after its founding in 1920 as a small workshop for electromechanical equipiment, the company brought together its team, families and international representatives to pay tribute to its history, recognize the people who have made it possible and reinforce its commitment to the future, according to a news release.
The day began with a tour of the production centers, where Girbau employees and their families had the opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of the company’s industrial processes, technological evolution and the projects that are shaping its future.
The event was also a celebration of talent, creativity and team spirit. During the event key moments from the company’s history were revisited. The company highlighted how it has grown from its roots in Vic to become a global brand.
As part of the commemorative actions for this 105th anniversary, Girbau has launched a series of symbolic gestures and celebrations that will take place throughout the year. Among them is the planting of a cypress tree at the company’s headquarters in memory of Pere Girbau, a key figure of the second generation.
