JENSEN-GROUP’s Half Year Report

In the first half year of 2017, the JENSEN-GROUP showed ongoing healthy performance with revenue amounting to 173.5 million Euro, representing a 5.5 percent increase in revenue compared to last year, according to a company news release.

The outstanding results in the first six months are a result of JENSEN’s continuous investments in product development. Solutions that were launched at last year’s Texcare International and this year’s Clean Show are now a part of successful reference installations around the globe.

One of the JENSEN-GROUP’s equipment highlights is the new Jenroll Hybrid ironer that offers 5-star ironing quality, allowing the laundry to use it for fast ironing of flatwork for the healthcare sector, or for top-quality ironing for the hospitality sector. It handles a wide variety of products, ranging from table linen to sheets, at top speeds. Due to its speed, it can only be combined with the fastest folders and feeders in our industry, such as the Jenfeed Express Plus.  It uses cornerless feeding stations and is now also available for the processing of King size sheets. By introducing a vacuum box to the Jenfeed Express, not only the size of products to be handled has increased, but also the feeding quality has increased, allowing feeding of all sizes of sheets for the healthcare sector. The Jenfeed Express Plus can also be used to increase PPOH in the hospitality sector thanks to the cornerless feeding principle which doubles the feeding capacity per operator compared to conventional feeding into clamps.

With the introduction of the new brand “ALPHA by JENSEN”, the JENSEN-GROUP has defined a series of stand-alone products with a very limited range of options, as opposed to the high-end products under the JENSEN brand that are offered with automation solutions and total data management.

“Total data management and Industry 4.0 are opening up exciting new opportunities for laundries” says Jesper Munch Jensen, CEO of the JENSEN-GROUP. With Globe, we offer our customers the most complete production management information system in the market today: It is the first system that can manage all resources in a laundry – machinery, utilities, energy, as well as staff. The data that have been visualized, documented and analyzed by Globe add to the productivity and availability of the laundry. The personnel cost can be dramatically reduced. “The digitization of all processes, in the laundry and in the offices, cannot be stopped” continues Jesper Munch Jensen; “With Industry 4.0, the overhead cost will fall, and very quickly.”

By June 30, 2017, the JENSEN-GROUP has a very solid order backlog, and expects the 2017 revenue to be higher than last year, according to the company. All growth has been financed with no outside capital, a strategy that the company continues to pursue.
