Roger Kenneth McMillan, formerly with Colmac Industries passed away Thursday, December 28th, 2023 in Spokane, Washington. He was 81.
McMillan spent his early childhood in Spokane, prior to relocating to Colville where his father, Jerry McMillan founded the Colmac business. He graduated from Washington State University where he earned a Master’s of Science in mechanical engineering in 1966. McMillan then spent 2 years in the US Army as a 2nd and 1st Lieutenant in the Ordinance Corps stationed at Ft Dix, NJ.
After returning to Colville, McMillan began working at Colmac Industries in engineering and product development. Upon his father’s passing in 1974, McMillan took the reins at Colmac Industries until 2002. He retired in 2005.
McMillan also started a second Colmac business, Colmac Coil Manufacturing.
McMillan was preceded in death by his parents Jerry McMillan and Gwen McMillan, survived by his wife Dee McMillan, sister Carol and her family, sons Scott and Brian, grandchildren Savannah, Darby, Harrison, and Rosalie, great grandson Carter and great granddaughter Aspen Jade “AJ”.
