Lapauw Expands & Taps David Bernstein as President


Kortrijk, Belgium – Lapauw International N.V. announced the opening of Lapauw USA, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary providing sales, service, parts and, in the future, machinery manufacturing and assembly to serve the commercial and industrial laundry industries throughout North America. In making the announcement, Lapauw CEO Steven Renders also announced the appointment of industry veterans David Bernstein as the Company’s President, and Michael Squillace as the company’s National Sales Manager. The new Company will be the exclusive source for Lapauw products in North America and will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The new President of Lapauw USA, David Bernstein, brings a lifetime of industry experience to bear in his new role. He is well-known and respected among industry peers for his more than two decades of professional experience including as the President of Consolidated Laundry Machinery Co., Directory of the Uniform and Textile Services Association, Chief Operating Officer of F-MATIC, Inc., and Senior Vice President of Turn-Key Industrial Engineering Services. Bernstein is also a dedicated industry volunteer and advocate, who has been honored for his efforts in advancing industry education, safety and advocacy. He teaches at industry institutes and schools, has served as a member of several Boards of Directors, and has held numerous committee chairmanships. “I am honored and privileged to have been asked to build and lead Lapauw’s team here in North America,” Bernstein said. “The Lapauw brand and products are well respected around the world and I know that North American laundries will benefit from having access to sales, service, parts and, soon, manufacturing support right here at home.”

Michael Squillace is known for excellence in business development and customer satisfaction. As National Sales Manager for Lapauw USA, he will use his industry knowledge and experience as both an operator and a supplier to support Lapauw’s existing customers in North America, to introduce Lapauw’s complete line of products to laundries throughout the region, and to develop customized solutions to meet each customer’s unique challenges and needs. Squillace’s most recent employment was with Garment Machinery, Inc., where he provided on-premise laundry solutions to a wide variety of companies in New England.
