Laundry & Linen College 2018

The Association for Linen Management (ALM) will hold the spring session of their Laundry & Linen College April 23-27, 2018. The Laundry & Linen College is a resource for laundry training and education.

The spring session is focused on Textile Care Services, with classes on infection control, textile selection and bid, linen management and utilization, linen distribution, linen benchmarking and replacement budgeting, packroom management, and more!

For over 30 years, the college has provided training in laundry processing, as well as linen distribution and utilization for individuals in the U.S. and abroad. This program is recognized nationally for developing skilled, informed, and accomplished laundry professionals. Respected for its timely and relevant course content, format, and renowned instructors, the college convenes twice yearly, spring and fall, for five days in Richmond, Kentucky.

“The Laundry & Linen College continues to be one of the most highly-recognized training programs for current and aspiring leaders in the textile care services industry,” said Christina Horsley, ALM’s professional development manager. “We’re proud to be an element in the career development plans of so many of the industries’ top leaders.”

The Laundry & Linen College is aligned with the information on the Registered Laundry and Linen Director (RLLD) Certification exam; while attendance at the college is not a requirement, it is excellent training to ensure successful completion of the exam.

The RLLD identifies a level of competency, industry training, and recognition of an individual who continues to value ongoing industry training and standards of practice. Some organizations require facility management to hold an industry certification, such as the RLLD. Directors, general managers, or those with experience in middle management of a laundry with an aptitude for higher levels of responsibility are candidates for the RLLD exam.
