Meese a plastics rotomolder, recently won another safety award by the Ashtabula County Safety Council (ACSC), presented by Congressman David P. Joyce, 14th District, Ohio. ACSC, one of 83 safety councils across the state of Ohio and sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Division of Safety & Hygiene, provides health, safety and environmental awareness to Ashtabula County community businesses. They address issues like occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation and risk management and provide education and information to businesses.
To receive this coveted annual award, companies must present a Semi-Annual Report to ACSC twice a year. This form is very similar to OSHA’s 300A and is the basis for eligibility to receive an award. “We are honored to receive this award from ACSC again,” says J.R. Ryan, president of Meese. “We work hard to maintain the highest safety standards in all of our plants. Our ongoing commitment to safety is very important to everyone at Meese.”
Earlier this year, Meese received other safety awards such as the Safety Recognition award from the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) as well as one from TRSA (Textile Rental Services Association) honoring their ergonomically focused products designed to eliminate a variety of common workplace injuries in laundries.
