Bates Troy Joins in AHA Wear Red Day

Binghamton, NY – The American Heart Association’s (AHA) National Wear Red Day® calls attention to the nation’s No. 1 health threat for women. . Cardiovascular disease remains the leading killer of women in the U.S., according to the American Heart Association’s newly released 2021 Heart Disease & Stroke Statistics. As a proud sponsor and supporter of the AHA for more than a decade, Bates Troy Inc.’s (Bates Troy Healthcare Linen Services) management team once more donned their red for the day.

The annual Heartwalk in Broome County, NY, drew over 2000 participants in 2019. As part of its sponsorship, Bates Troy Inc. has been cutting the starting line ribbon for over a decade. As with most things, the Heartwalk has been affected by the COVID regulations so this year the event will be held virtually on Sunday April 11, 2021.

Bates Troy Inc. President and CEO, Brian Kradjian explained the company’s decision to support the AHA and its Heartwalk, “We chose to support the Heart Walk because Heart Disease and Stroke affects so many people in our families, community and country. The Heart Walk is a great event which incorporates all ages, and is good clean healthy fun that raises needed monies and promotes necessary awareness. Beyond this, there is meaningful education that occurs at AHA’s events throughout the year.”

Patrick Fendick, Bates Troy Director of Sales, has been on the Executive Leadership team for the local chapter AHA for three years.
