Ecolab Honored by Newsweek

ST. PAUL, Minn. – For the third consecutive year, Ecolab’s commitment to sustainable business practices has been recognized by Newsweek, which named Ecolab to the publication’s 2016 list of the Top Green Companies in the World.

For 2016, Ecolab ranked sixth on the U.S. 500 list and 13th on the Global 500 Green Rankings lists.

“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to sustainability within our own operations and through the positive impact we have at more than one million customer locations around the world,” said Emilio Tenuta, Ecolab vice president of Corporate Sustainability.

The Newsweek Green Rankings evaluate the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the U.S. and the 500 largest publicly traded companies globally, by market capitalization. The publication partnered with Corporate Knights Capital and HIP Investor to measure company performance in eight indicative areas including energy, greenhouse gas, water, waste and sustainability.

In 2015, Ecolab ranked seventh on the U.S. and 12th on the Global 500 Green Rankings lists.
