GMA’s World Emblem Plant Tour


The Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) is offering a tour of the World Emblem plant in Atlanta, Georgia on April 29.

The GMA is a membership-based industry organization for manufacturers and suppliers in the Georgia manufacturing community. The organization was founded in 2008 and offers manufacturing plant tours, networking opportunities, and educational training. The organization is compiled of six chapters that cover the entire state of Georgia.

According to the event page for the plant tour, attendees will learn about the textile industry while touring World Emblem’s 70,000-square foot facility which houses emblems, embroidered patches, high-visibility striping, transfer, and labels.

What is unique about World Emblem Atlanta is the fact that if an order comes in for a name or company emblem by 3:00 p.m. EST, it will ship the same day. They do 60,000 pieces a day that are manufactured and shipped same day with a 99.7% on time performance rating. They have over 400 embroidery heads, 12 heat press transfer cells, spread over 70,000 square feet of production. Their world class manufacturing utilizes software that has been produced by in house developers. They embrace and utilize Six Sigma and Lean for their processes and efficiencies.

With over 25 years’ experience, World Emblem Atlanta produces 60,000 pieces that are manufactured and shipped same-day using its 400-plus embroidery heads and 12 heat press transfer cells.
