When Surfside Laundry in Panama City Beach, Florida needed a finishing line for sheets and table cloths, Pete Snyder, vice president of laundry operations, turned to B&C Technologies.
The Surfside Laundry processes the majority of soiled linens from the hotels along the most beautiful beaches in the world. The laundry can produce more than 25,000 pounds in an 8-hour shift. There will be room to grow when a second finishing line will be installed prior to tourist season.
“We use B&C equipment throughout the entire Panama City Beach facility,” says Snyder. “I had the opportunity to meet them and their technicians in one of our other facilities. The service they give and the commitment they have towards working with their customers is what sold me on the brand.”
Doing the work in the Panama City Beach laundry are four SI-275 washers, two of which tilt forward while the other two tilt both ways and have large hydraulic doors. The laundry also has two SP-165 models, three SI-200 models, two SP-75 models, and two HE-65 models. The laundry has four DP-250 dryers, three DP-200 models, one DE-120 model, and two DE-75 models.
The finishing line consists of a 3-station feeder, a 2-roll 48 x 130 inch self-contained and gas-heated ironer, and a folder with a stacker. This line can produce more than 1000 sheets per hour after they have been washed and extracted at high speeds in our industrial washers models SP-75, SP-165, SI-200, SI-275. In addition there are two PF-3 towel folders and one IF-32130 ironer with a built-in feeder, folder, and stacker.
“We do hotel property management and have two laundry plants – one here and one in Robertsdale Alabama,” adds Snyder. “Between both plants, we process about 12 million pounds a year. I’m currently replacing aging equipment from our Alabama plant with new B&C equipment.”
“Our relationship with B&C is blossoming,” says Snyder. “It’s a good partnership.”
