IAHTM Names Carper Executive Director

The International Association for Healthcare Textile Management (IAHTM) has named Christy Carper executive director, effective Jan. 9. Carper replaces Becky Miller, who has served in the role for five years and who is voluntarily stepping down from the position due to family circumstances requiring more of her time and attention.

Carper is no stranger to IAHTM having most recently served on the on-site team that managed and produced the organization’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Education Conference, which was held in September in Scottsdale, AZ. Her management experience covers a broad range of positions and businesses, including the satellite and television industry, veterinary medicine, and travel and hospitality.

While Miller (photo left)  is stepping down from her position as executive director, she will remain with IAHTM indeterminately in a consulting role, where she will provide support to upcoming programs including Texcare International (June 19-28) and the 2020 IAHTM Annual Meeting and Education Conference (Sept. 26-29).

IAHTM is a nonprofit membership organization for healthcare laundry cooperatives that provides senior-level textile managers with resources and support to maximize their laundries’ efficiencies and control costs without compromising quality or patient focus.
