Prudential Cleanroom Services held a press conference at its future Heath, OH Cleanroom laundry processing facility site. The event included over fifty attendees including officials representing local, State and Congressional representatives, according to a news release.
The site will provide cleanroom laundry processing services for hi-tech industries that operate and manufacturer in controlled environments like semiconductor, pharmaceutical, bioscience, aerospace, education, electronics, and related industries.
Mayor Mark Johns, City of Heath, OH commented, “The City of Heath has been blessed the past 10 years with growth and diversification of businesses. Prudential Cleanroom Services decision to open an operation in our community is a continuation of that trend, and we welcome their inclusion as a business partner in Heath.”
“This facility will provide over 80 well-paying jobs for the greater Heath – Newark – Licking County community and provide our customers with world class cleanroom laundry services throughout the Midwest,” said Chris Welch, Prudential’s president.
The project is a 67,000 square-foot commercial laundry facility located at 650 International Drive, Heath, OH on a 9-acre tract. Prudential has purchased the building and will begin the construction project with a completion date scheduled for Q4 2023.
Mr. Welch continued, “The Ohio market is important to Prudential, so we can best serve our customers expansion requirements in the region. We look to serve these requirements for existing and new customers. To signal our commitment to Central Ohio, our projected investment for this site is $35 million.”
This will be Prudential’s eighth ISO Class 3 cleanroom laundry processing facility in the United States.
