Sea-lion is Expanding, Positions Available


 

As we’re growing, Sea-lion is looking to fill three Technical Sales Specialist positions – Northeast & Mid-Atlantic | Midwest | West. The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales and business development by leveraging their technical expertise in commercial and industrial laundry equipment. This role requires an understanding of the Sea-lion product line, the ability to assess customer needs, and the skill to provide tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping clients optimize their laundry operations.

Applicants must reside in respective territory as outlined below:

Northeast & Mid-Atlantic Territory – Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia

Midwest Territory-Ohio, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan

West Territory-California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana

Travel is required and positions pay base salary plus commission and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development: Identify and target potential customers in the industrial laundry sector, including commercial and industrial laundries, hotels, and healthcare facilities; develop and execute strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand customer base; maintain and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.

Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the technical specifications, features, and benefits of Sea-lion laundry equipment; provide technical guidance and support to customers, helping them select the right equipment based on their operational needs; conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and presentations to showcase the capabilities of our equipment.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing exceptional service; address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical issues promptly and effectively; collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide feedback and improve product offerings.

Training and Support: Train customers and end-users on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our equipment; keep customers informed about product updates, new features, and industry trends.

Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities; prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management; participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote our products and brand.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial equipment or a related field, strong technical knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and its applications, proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team, proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to travel frequently to meet with customers and attend industry events.
