Tecni-Quip Recognizes Team Members 20th Anniversary


SEGUIN, TEXAS — A Texas size BBQ was held at the TQI Factory for two outstanding team members, Jose Enriquez and Charlene Thorne who were officially recognized their 20 years of employment at TQ Industries.  Enriquez and Thorne were among the first hires when the company relocated to Seguin Texas in 1996.

During the ceremony, each were honored with awards for being an integral part of the company’s success through their dedication and creativity. As a member of the sewing team in 1996, Charlene now manages the entire TQI Sewing Department, which cuts and sews a variety of covers and accessories for TECNI-QUIP Hospital and Hotel Carts sold nationwide. She is the proud mother of “Scooter” Thorne, Class of 2004 Seguin High and a Graduate of UT San Antonio and now on the management team of FedEx.

Juan Enriquez is the lead fabricator for the Clean Cycle Systems Filter Division of TQI. CCS filters which are sold to laundries and textile plants around the globe. These machines are necessary to collect lint from laundry dryers, protecting the environment and potential fire hazards at these companies. He is a proud husband and proud father of 5, including a daughter who served in the United States Marine Corps.

TQI was founded in 1961, and began with one employee in a rented garage located in Long Beach, California. It now employs over 30 individuals and boasts that over 60% the staff have worked 10 or more years for the company.
