Unilink Purchasing Focusing on Laundry and Textile Svc.

Universal Unilink announced the launch of the Unilink Purchasing Association (Unilink), a dedicated purchasing organization created exclusively to serve the needs of industrial laundries, linen services, uniform rental companies, healthcare laundries, hospitality laundries, mat rental providers, and other textile service businesses throughout the United States and Canada.

The move establishes a dedicated identity for the laundry and textile services segment while allowing both Universal Unilink and Unilink to deliver more focused communications, resources, and supplier programs tailored to the unique needs of their respective member groups, the company says.

Universal Unilink has served the laundry and textile services industry since 1995. Today, more than 100 existing laundry members are transitioning to the new Unilink brand, with membership immediately available to qualified companies across North America.

“While distributors and laundries may purchase from some of the same suppliers, their businesses, challenges, and priorities are very different,” said Sherryl Stoner, who oversees operations for the organization. “Creating a dedicated platform allows us to provide more relevant information, resources, and purchasing opportunities specifically for laundry and textile service operators.”

Founder and Owner Allan Fowler said the transition represents an investment in the future of both organizations.”Our goal is simple: to be better for members on both platforms. By creating a dedicated identity for the laundry industry, we can provide more relevant resources, stronger engagement and a clearer voice for laundry operators while allowing Universal Unilink to remain equally focused on the needs of its distributor members.”
