MADISON, Ind.– Serenity blue may be a Pantone 2016 “Color of the Year” but instead of setting the trend, the color experts may be following what laundry managers have known and demonstrated for years.
According to a report from plastics rotomolder MODRoto, (MODRoto.com) Royal Blue ranked as the most popular color for 2015 based on total units purchased for the company’s line of laundry carts, bulk containers and recycling carts.
The report revealed that Royal Blue earned approximately 50% of unit sales while Black and Forest Green, popular among recycling managers, were the runners-up.
“Our Royal Blue and Powder Blue are very close to Pantone Serenity blue and they’re available as standard colors,” says MODRoto President and COO J.R. Ryan, who notes an uptick in the selection of bright, custom colors this year. “There’s a growing realization that our carts and containers can provide a very visible marketing platform for our customers.”
