An Arrest After Threats at Crothall


A man with a firearm entered Crothall Laundry Services in Red Wing, Minnesota threatening employees prior to leaving.  The suspect, Michael Berry, 39, was later apprehended by authorities in Southern Ohio by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies.

Red Wing Police Department Respond to Man with a Gun Call – UPDATE

Red Wing, MN: This morning at approximately 7:15 hours, Goodhue County Dispatch received a call from Crothall Laundry Services at 950 Featherstone Road, Red Wing stating a male entered the business with a firearm and threatened employees. Officers of the Red Wing Police Department responded to the incident and learned from employees, that the suspect male made threats of violence against some of the employees and then left the business. Investigators have credible evidence that the individual has left the area and there is no on-going threat to the community. The investigation remains on-going and an update will be provided as information becomes releasable.

UPDATE: June 8, 2018 at approximately 6:00 PM, Red Wing Police Department investigations identified the suspect as Michael Berry, 39 of Red Wing, Minnesota. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr. Michael Berry for alleged charges of: Kidnapping-To Commit Great Bodily Harm/Terrorize; Threats of Violence; and False Imprisonment-Intentional Restraint. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, last seen driving a silver SUV, possible Ford Edge. Anyone knowing the location of Mr. Berry should notify their local law enforcement agency.
