ARTA Conference March 9-11

MISSION, KS —The American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA) will hold its 2016 Education Conference March 9-11 at the J.W. Marriott Grand Lakes Resort in Orlando. This year’s conference will focus on infection prevention, new technology and marketing opportunities. The day-and-a-half agenda also includes tabletop exhibits, Welcome Reception by MIP/Encompass and Sponsor Reception. Optional activities include a March 9 plant tour of Disney’s Fourth Laundry Operation (FLO) and a golf tournament Friday afternoon.

“Laundry operators have many options for professional development, but if you are serious about providing healthcare linen services on any scale, this is a must-attend event,” says ARTA President Ed McCauley of United Hospital Services, Indianapolis. “Since 1982, ARTA has offered education and support for healthcare laundry executives, especially regarding surgical textiles.

“ARTA’s mission is to create greater awareness and appreciation for reusable textiles. This education conference is for all persons involved in marketing or management for a healthcare laundry — whether you process one million or 30 million pounds a year, operate a for-profit or not-for-profit laundry, or just want to begin offering healthcare textile services,” he adds.

ARTA’s conference is open to members and nonmembers, as well as all sister associations. The conference kicks off Wed., March 9, with a “Welcome Reception” hosted by MIP and Encompass. The education program starts Thurs., March 10, with sessions running all day, and includes a group lunch. Attendees can mingle and network at the “Sponsors Reception” that evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The program ends at noon on Friday, March 11. A Continental breakfast is included both days of the conference.

Registration information and forms are available at www.ARTA1.com.
