LG Electronics USA, a growing appliance player in the U.S. commercial laundry market, announced the appointment of Steve Bass as its new senior account manager for LG’s U.S. Commercial Laundry division.
With over 20 years of experience in the commercial laundry business, Bass brings a distinguished record of achievement in driving significant revenue growth, launching innovative sales channels and building strong industry relationships across North America and international markets. He comes to LG with a unique perspective on the commercial laundry sector, having both owned a commercial laundry distributorship and also working on the factory side of the business.
In his new position at LG, Bass will support existing LG customers and distributors, while working to add new distribution partners nationwide in support of education, multi-family housing, hospitality applications and more. He will also be responsible for training LG’s sales team on the company’s commercial laundry products.
“Steve’s deep industry insights, coupled with his strong capacity to cultivate strategic partnerships and accelerate market growth, align with our ambitious goals for the rapidly growing commercial laundry business,” said Kevin Jeong, LG Electronics USA’s appliance division president. “His unique experience will further enhance LG’s ability to deliver strong value to our customers.”
In his most recent role at Airwallet, a leading provider of laundry payment systems, he was responsible for setting up distribution and supporting business development. Previously, as vice president of sales and marketing at Onnera Group, he led the growth strategy for the North American Commercial Laundry division.
He also previously held leadership roles in supporting commercial laundry efforts at both Girbau North America and Xeros Technology Group, while also operating as the owner of Your Laundry Source, Inc. In this role, he developed the go-to-market strategy for the LG Giant G washer, secured the first national account for the LG Commercial Laundry product line and worked with the LG engineering team on the launch of new equipment, supporting model changes, creating training content and more.
“Joining LG’s Commercial Laundry team presents a compelling opportunity to contribute to an organization that I have such great admiration for,” said Bass. “Having worked with the LG brand many years ago, this is a full circle moment for me, and I’m excited to leverage my unique perspective to move the LG brand forward.”
