September is National Preparedness Month. While many of us have been consumed with hurricanes, there are other dangerous natural disasters that can strike.
OSHA’s Emergency Preparedness and Response web page — found here — provides information to protect workers responding to wildfires, tornadoes, floods and other natural disasters – in addition to hurricanes.
But today we’ll take a look at heat and how it can affect workers. Whether inside or out, it’s important to know about and understand heat related illnesses, their signs, symptoms and first aid necessary for those afflicted.
